The Pontypridd YMCA project sees the conversion of the existing historic YMCA building, in the centre of Pontypridd, to provide new community arts accommodation.

The scheme provides a combination of dance studios, digital media and visual arts spaces, together with new staff offices and meeting facilities. The new accommodation for RCTCA is proposed as a roof-top extension, adding two floors to the historic YMCA building, together with a new extension and main entrance foyer.

The building is to become a landmark destination in the town's Northern Gateway development, with new public facilities that will create a significant increase in local arts participation.
