Maudsley Hospital Redevelopment - De Crespigny Park Facade

Location:

Lambeth, London

Client:

SLaM NHS Trust

Planning Consented

Status:

550 Residential Units

Size:

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) instructed ESA to explore options for repurposing and redeveloping the Lambeth Hospital site.

The existing Lambeth Hospital is no longer fit for purpose. ESA's proposal aims to release value through the development of the site. This will enable SLaM to reinvest in their current and future hospital and community facilities while creating much needed new homes, for local people in Lambeth.

Our proposals will deliver 553 high quality new homes, 50 per cent of which will be affordable. Our approach seeks to prioritise sustainability and wellbeing.

The proposed masterplan is focused along a linear urban boulevard that terminates at the foot of an 18 storey tower. The three main blocks are arranged around private courtyard areas providing landscaped playspace and amenity areas for residents. The carefully planned soft landscaping will enhance the ecological values of the site.
