The major upgrade of Green Park station included a new street level pavilion, access improvements, public space improvements outside the station and public art.
The copper canopy of the street level pavilion provides a distinctive identifier for the station, an integrated bus shelter and opens up elevated views of the park. A dramatic slice is cut through the landscape to provide a gentle ramped entrance between grassed banks to the station from the Royal Park.
The pavilion features artwork within the Portland stone cladding titled ‘Sea Strata ‘designed by John Maine RA.
