Flow is a ‘back-to-frame’ redevelopment of two contemporary office buildings situated on the banks of the River Thames in Staines.
Originally a 1990’s three-storey office, it has been completely stripped back to the original concrete frame, the existing pitched roof was removed and elevations completely remodeled to create a modern office environment - the new buildings are arranged over three and four floors respectively, and create a marketable ‘Grade A’ office environment.
The buildings boast dramatic reception atria, new finishes, full-height glazing and large, flexible open-plan floor plates.
The buildings benefit from progressive eco credentials and have achieved a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’. The building envelope was designed to achieve high levels of insulation and low U-Values and the scheme utilizes both substantial renewable energy technology and a series of passive environmental measures.
The building has been successfully let to VM ware as their new UK headquarters.
