The Crown Gate shopping centre within the historic market town of Worcester was originally developed on two physically separate sites now unified. 

In response to the context of the Chapel Walk centre and its surroundings, ESA’s approach has been to create a series of subtle, contemporary interventions which enhance the built environment, improve public interface and create a cohesive and modern built design.

The refurbishment is part of a larger masterplanning exercise for the city centre and includes new streetscape, a new comprehensive lighting solution, a new covered mall, canopies and entrances and elements of public art incorporated throughout.
