ESA has successfully secured a planning consent by designing a high quality, contemporary mixed use scheme on Clarendon Road, Watford. The new scheme will replace a large 4-5 storey 1980's building that is currently occupied and boarders the Estcourt conservation area.
The new scheme will maximise the building envelop within the constraints imposed by the 1.38 acre site and will provide 8,450 sq m of flexible office space and 100 residential units, of which 67% will be private and 33% affordable, across the development.
The new shared public realm area will lead to an open communal space and residents will be able to enjoy and relax in the private gardens. A dedicated play area has also been provided.
