A Grade I listed building designed and built between 1769-1771 by Robert and John Adam. It is of enormous heritage importance but was in serious risk of being lost. Without the restoration, the major architectural features of the building would have been destroyed. We had to reinstate, where possible, the original Adams designs but also introduce modern facilities for the tenants use. Detailed research was undertaken to identify the historic development of room layouts and decorative schemes throughout the building. Our restoration of Chandos House gained a RIBA Conservation Award.
