Davenant Youth Centre of Excellence

The Davenant Centre has been operating out of the remains of old school buildings on the Whitechapel Road for several years, providing a much-needed service to the community.  Its success led to the need to upgrade the facilities enabling it to broaden its scope for the young in the borough. The building was stripped out, retaining the historic façades while  completely updating the interior. Floor levels and circulation routes were rationalised throughout. A new modern structure including a lightweight glass stair/lift pod was been inserted within the rear courtyard.
