Breathing new life into tired out-of-town ‘campus' business parks is not a new concept, yet ESA architecture | design are about to radically transform the appearance of a cluster of existing overblown ‘domestic-style' 25 year old buildings for a developer client just outside Maidenhead. The existing buildings were characterised by utilitarian brick elevations topped with huge pitched roofs, similar to many of the first generation of business parks that sprang up around our towns in the 1980's.
ESA's scheme removes the pitched roofs and a good portion of the elevations but retains the robust red brickwork and the structural frame. A simple articulated
