Over the last four years since its inception ESA director Nic Sampson has been taking part in the 'C2C' Cycle to Cannes Challenge, to correspond with MIPIM in March every year. Nic & John Wood of the Mall Corporation also organised a sister ride from Barcelona in 2008, joining with the London ride as they arrived in Cannes on the opening day of MIPIM. Fellow ESA architect, Jan Kuettner also rode the 500KM to Cannes that year.
